William Nelson (New York congressman)

William Nelson (June 18, 1784 – October 3, 1869) was an American lawyer and judge from Westchester County, New York. He represented New York in the U.S. Congress from 1847 to 1851.
==Biography==
Born in Hyde Park, Dutchess County, New York, on June 29, 1784, Nelson attended the common schools and was graduated from Poughkeepsie Academy. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1807, and commenced practice in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York. He married Cornelia Mandeville Hardman, and they had ten children, Richard, Dorinda, George, Thomas, Sarah, William, Elizabeth, Edward, Laura, and Robert.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=8610530 )
